Our new North Carolina Standard Course of Study is built upon the new standards that demand a new approach to teaching and learning. This summer, educators across North Carolina attended Summer Institutes where they built upon last year's topic of the "what" of the new standards. The focus this year was the "how" of implementation.

P21 Skills Maps


The Partnership for 21st Century Skills has created skills maps for each content area. These are aligned with national standards. The math skills maps have already been updated to the Common Core State Standards. They provide examples of activities that teachers can use to infuse 21st Century attributes in their lessons.
