  • Be familiar with the North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards
  • Understand the process for teacher evaluation
  • Understand SMART goals and how they relate to the Professional Development Plan (PDP)
  • Know how to access the McREL online tool to complete the self-assessment and PDP
